The
best thing in life is freedom,, yet freedom has a price,, Other peoples
fate are in the hands of those who control the resources,, still we
pray everyday for miracles,, people have been made to believe God makes
some rich and some poor,, so not to blame the rich who steal their
wealth,, They bring Monopoly Education which trains good soldiers and
work ready employees who would be obedient to the Oga at the top and
off-course know their role in life,, they would tell you to go to
school,, study hard and get good grades so you can get a job. Obsolete
ideas that would never make you rich,, so that way,, they continue to
still away the resources. You can never make it unless you think outside
this Obsolete ideas,, if education is not based on interest then it is
useless,, the Ancient Greece thought their children to be free thinkers
but here in our society we don't use our heads to think because their is
hunger in our stomach and so we need cash,,, the funny conspiracy we
don't understand is that the Paper Printed Money we work for has Zero
value,, because the rich uses the govt to control the society,, and
because they need to buy expensive mansions and luxurious cars, then the
govt, who are the boys, would continue to print paper (funny) money and
the few you have in your pocket would not be enough because the people
who owns it all has monopolized it all. This is the rich getting
richer,, and the poor starving to death..
Fact is that ,, Paper money are not worth working for,, Money should work for you.
University eduction is useless if it is only for you to go and work at other peoples establishment.
The country cannot grow if the we continue our present form of education. I would tell you why;
1.Christian missionaries introduced the western education system in
Nigeria in the mid-nineteenth century. This education system was more
readily accepted in the south.
2. About 1.5Million secondary school
leavers every year with less than 250,000 getting admission,, means the
number of people that is not admitted would be added to the once yet to
get admission into university.
3. It reported that of the number of
candidates applying for admission every year in Nigeria, only about 5.2%
to 15.3% get admitted every year, meaning that about 84.7% to 94.8% of
the candidates seeking admissions every year never get admitted into
Nigerian universities largely due to carrying capacity; infrastructural/
facilities challenge; inadequate public financing; economic
constraints; labor market failure.
4. The number of graduates every
year in Nigeria is in thousand,, 400 to 800 thousand every year. Please
where is the job for all these people.
I don't even know I
could type all these,, it means it pains me so much,, because everybody
is still doing the same thing blindly,, so many bushes and uncleared
land in the villages,, people would not grow but would blame the govt.
Nigerians prefer to ride okada in lagos than go to their villages and
start agriculture,, e.g snail farming. people prefer to spend time
looking for job but would never think of starting theirs,, complains are
usually, no capital,, meanwhile,, the little you or your parents had,,
have spent it wasting 4,6 or 7 years going to school. Education is good,
but only when it teaches you how to make wealth and not be poor. else
its nonsense. Parents should start businesses for their children after
secondary school. they would have enough time to make so many mistakes
and eventually succeed and become successful,, its rather a better way
than waste there time and there money in school,,
To reduce number of people not in school, Nigerian universities should embrace online schooling and sandwich programs,,
University should offer student education based on interest of the
student. Like I can decide to go to school to Learn PHP and MySql. and
the school should have teacher to teach me. or I can decide to learn
fish farming.
University should offer students practical knowledge
they need to start making money and creating wealth,, like teaching
student who are interested in import export business.
Govt should
raise substantial capitals for graduating students, between 150 thousand
to 650 thousand,, this means that students who has acquired practical
skills like trading, or buying and selling,, or fish farming, would have
capital enough to start up on their own. This can be done by keeping
the money students pay as school fee as savings for them,, like for
example,, I pay 70,000 a year at imo state univerity for school fee,, if
i paid that for 4years,, that would be 280k,, the govt, could do good
to return the money or path of it to me when i finish schooling,, School
micro finance bank can ensure this. As for people who study courses
like Physics, Chemistry, govt should ensure they help them further their
education,, and these would be mainly for students who are mainly good
at these courses. Universities should have music studios and help
students who are talented musicians to produce and promote their music,
so also theater art student should produce their movies in school.. this
would help them raise money for the school and themselves also, but
most importantly they would be gaining real life experience. Experience
in life is the best teacher,, students would learn when if they engage
in practical things,, people don't learn much when they read,, in fact,
10% chances that student would retain what the read,, and 20% for
lectures,, students gain much when they partake in practical things
because it gives experience., Our form of education doesn't help, it
won't help,, it will never help. The problem is increasing every day. It
is never going to stop. But few policy implementation could solve
this.. In fact,, I would open a blog to continue typing,, am tired.. To
be continue....
